Does anyone sell life insurance from home? (not with Primerica)?

Does anyone sell life insurance from home and make at least $1,000 a month profit? Do you sell online, make appointments and meet face to face or have a office at home? Do you work for a company that pushes you to sign up others to sell? How do you get your leads?
I would like to get my licenses to sell life insurance and eventually get licenses for car insurance, but is it realistic to try this business from home?

If you look at this logically, if you are at home, you are not going to sell. People are not going to come to you to buy life insurance and no one like buying over the phone. People want face to face contact and you have to initiate first contact. My strategy is not to sell life insurance to people and try to convince or push them to buy it. My strategy is to educate families about life insurance and they will make the decision to buy. Knowledge is powerful and when people understand how life insurance works and what its for, they can make the right decision on whether they need it or not.

When I help families, I always get referrals from them. If you do the right job for your clients, they will refer people to you. How I get referrals is by asking who they know lives in the area. Who they know could use this information?

My company doesn’t push me to sell. They use compassion and real life stories to get me motivated to go out there to see more families. I work for a financial service company and what I do for families has change many lives for the better.

I received my insurance settlement claims check from tornado damage but disagree with the insurance company.?

We had a tornado that caused damage to our home and our garage. We had an insurance claim adjuster out who determined that the damage to our home and garage needs to be repaired. The problem is that we live in an 1880’s home that has four gables that are covered with lead coated fish-scale cedar shakes. The damage was on two of the gables and also we had some damage to our mortar on our brick work. They also told us that we have to repair the cedar shakes. Which is very costly and if we do repair the 2 gables they will not match the rest of our home. (Style and paint color) Also we have discussed this with a couple of contractors who have explained to us that it isn’t as simple as repairing them. They will have to be removed and replaced with new due to the condition of the shakes and where the damage is on the gables. The contractor suggested vinyl on all four gables It is a very economical replacement but we will also need fascia and soffit. There is enough money to do this. The insurance company’s first check should be more than enough to cover the vinyl replacement and repair most other damage on our home. We can supplement with our own money if we run low during the home repairs. If we don’t do what they want us to do we may not get the depreciation value check that we need to make the repairs to our garage. At this point we don’t have extra funds to cover these repairs am so upset and confused. Can they cancel the claims if we don’t do what they want us to do? Do we as homeowners have rights to decide how we want our home repaired? Please respond as soon as possible. Thank You.

You need to talk to your adjuster, and maybe have your contractor talk to your adjuster.

Obviously, you have to kick in your deductible, to pay for repairs. Not obviously, it matters a way, way, way lot, what COVERAGE you have on your policy. It’s quite possible that you don’t have "cost to replace with like kind & quality" on a house that old. It’s also quite possible that the adjuster doesn’t understand what must be done to fix the house.

Yes, if you don’t repair the damage, they can cancel your policy, but they can’t cancel the claim. Yes, you as homeowners get to decide how you want your home repaired – HOWEVER – you decided how the insurance PAYS for it, at the time you bought the policy. If you flat out don’t have "like kind and quality" coverage, and you want like kind and quality repairs, YOU have to pay the difference, out of pocket. It’s also quite possible you are underinsured, and a coinsurance penalty is applying.

It’s unclear, if your problem is a coverage issue, or a communication issue. But you DO need to have a three way talk – or maybe four way talk, including your agent, you, the contractor, and the adjuster – to figure out what the problem is. Communciation issues can be fixed. Coverage issues, you can’t fix for THIS claim, but you can fix it for the NEXT one.

Suzuki Australia has joined the fight to save two iconic creatures the Black Rhinoceros and the Tasmanian Devil from potential extinction.

A donation from every new Grand Vitara and Jimny SUV sold by Suzuki Australia will go to special breeding and protection programs for both species.

The Black Rhino program is based in Tanzania, where legendary conservationist Tony Fitzjohn has established a wildlife reserve dedicated to preserving and breeding the dwindling black rhino population.

The Black Rhino horn has proved an almost irresistible lure for poachers, resulting in a catastrophic decline in the rhino population from 65,000 animals in 1970 to just over 2500 a few years ago.

The Tasmanian Devil breeding program is being conducted by Healesville Sanctuary, home to 12 Tasmanian Devils which are part of the insurance population sent to mainland Australia to help ensure the survival of this species from Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD).
Healesville Sanctuary is one of four mainland zoos now caring for 47 Tasmanian Devils as founders of a captive insurance population. This population could prove an essential source of animals for wild reintroduction, should the catastrophic decline of the species as a result of DFTD continue.

“The American Dream”
Nowadays people think that “The American Dream” is alive and well. To other people the dream is dying everyday little by little. There are millions of people going through hard times struggling to keep their homes and trying to stay out of debt. There have been several cases of home foreclosures, high unemployment rates and illegal immigration.
Many people ask, “What causes home foreclosures?” The recent study of home foreclosures has been started by a number of things. First, the economy and the jobless rate people are losing more and more of their jobs across the country. Second, loss of said job can put you behind the 8-ball with no financial support. Also, illness and death can play a role here. Taxes also play a role with death taxes, insurance taxes and home taxes leading the way. Most people see the U.S. a safe and easy why to get out of things. Though nearly one in four households have zero net worth or is in debt and owes more than they own. Like David Francis said “Income mobility has declined in the last 20 years.” Has the “American Dream” been oversold? For years the “American Dream” has been to own a home. The home ownership rate has fallen at least four quarters since 2007 to its lowest level since the beginning of 2002. Eighteen million homes are empty stretched across this country. Last year there where almost over one million empty home just in the United States, bulks and bulks of increase of homes have been lost, of course, is in foreclosed homes (David R. Francis). Here is something to think about there are more empty homes in neighborhoods across America, as the home ownership rate continues to fall. Where’s the “American Dream” hiding in all that?
There is a high unemployment in the United States. The unemployment rates vary from state to state in the United States. December of 2007 the unemployment rate nationwide was five percent. That’s two percent below average. Most workers under the age of twenty-five are more likely to be unemployed. Jobs held by younger workers are laid off more often. Young people tend to have less experience and less education. Unemployment rates are affecting everyone in America. According to studies, unemployment has increased steadily over the past decade. The growing population is one of the leading reasons to the unemployment rate. As to another is there are a lot of immigration taking over job because they are willing to take lower wages. Some people feel that illegal immigration is affecting all Americans. As mentioned in the last paragraph illegal immigrants are getting most of our jobs. Owners of businesses are laying off their workers mostly due to not being able to afford their wages. So the owner lies off their workers and hires immigrants because they will accept lower wages. Immigration causes several problems in the U.S., such as education disputes, crime, and overcrowding. From studies, these problems have already affected American itself. People estimate that fifty-thousand illegal aliens may get across the border every year. Immigrants are costing tax payers billions of dollars. Immigrants drain funds enormously by taking advantage of welfare. Immigration are causing a dramatic growth in population. They are overcrowding schools, consuming the already limited affordable housing, increasing strain on natural resources like water, energy, and forest land. (Alex Newman)
